Another hot day=.= and I just realised it's still suppose to be spring and the max temperature for today's already 34 degrees=.= Nice one.. Thank God I'll be back home during the most of summer which supposedly starts from December to end February.
Today's the LAST DAY of lessons! Man, so gonna miss the people and friends I usually hang out with...=( Started off with HOI tutorial... HOI tutor(which is also our lecturer) went through 3 periods out of the 6 periods we've covered throughout the year... Those are, the Greek period, Roman period and Renaissance period... To me, the renaissance period's the most interesting one... and the least interesting one... should be the medieval ages=.= heh heh. Don't like to delve into the feudal lords and blah blah. Anyways, after those, we had 'photo-taking session'! haha. That's the people I've been having HOI tutorials with for the past 1 year...people ranging from the eccentric category down to the... hmm.. fake-narcissistic ones?XD

After HOI tute, was EAP tutorial. Man, gonna miss those times!! Basically, we didnt go through much today... except for him returning our oral presentation marks and giving out the completed essay on obesity we did as a class... after which, we had Dominoes Pizza for lunch together before dispersing... =(

He's so not like this during EAP classes=.= Went mad on the last day... lols.
After EAP, was HOI Lecture...=.= boring... and the lecture hall was so hot!!!! Wasn't even paying attention to the lecturer la... hehe=X After lecture, went to Baillieu Library to study... had drama rehearsal after that with group... and we celebrated Joey's belated bday... heheh..

That's about all for today... lols. Pretty packed... Drama examinations for some starts tomorrow... Gonna go there to take a look=P haha. free drama... who doesn't wanna watch?XD I'll be bringing my notes over to read while watching..heh heh.
OH~ And I just saw this pretty road bike(Giant Avail)! Not the prettiest, but at least, still under the 'cheap'(as compared to other road bikes) range. It's Sora Shimano gears... not bad=P and it's $1299=.= very bad.... oh well=(

Don't you just love it? hais.. so ex~

Happy
7-
Eleven Day!!! Haha... Got a Slurpee for free! Yumyum~
The weather today was HOT HOT HOT!!! Goodness=.= It's about the same as Singapore. 17-30 degrees. The only difference is that it's hot and DRY. Makes you feel dehydrated=.="
Anyways, started off the day by going to Victoria Market to get some groceries. Planning to cook a simple meal that'll last me for the whole week. =O Will be busy studying in preparation for the following week's exams. Got some vegetables and fruits!=DD Mango's in season now!! =D You can easily get a box of 14 for $13... not bad a deal=P I might just go back there to get some...hehe.
After marketing, went straight to FSC for Drama practice... phew~ Finally, everything seems to be in control and finalised... My drama exam will be on a Friday afternoon. Hope all goes well!
Went to Baillieu Library after that to study with Erinne, Huiyin and Ying... would consider it to be pretty productive... continued on with my math. goodness! I STILL hate probability=.=" So troublesome... especially Normal Distributions.. lols. After studying, Ying went for work(Maccas). and the rest of us went to Chinatown to have dinner. Went to meet Ying at work and got a free McFlurry and apple pie=D
That's all for today I suppose?
Oh... finally returned the bicycle to Daniel. decided to use the tram till I return for home. I still want a road bike!!=( Cycling's really fun...=P

Hey guys! Here to post again.
Phew... Had and going to have a long weekend! I've no school today and also, tomorrow!! That's because of Cup Day! Gosh... Melbourne has a public holiday just for horse racing=.=" tsktsktsk... Let's start from Saturday...
Had buffet dinner at Crown Hotel with the Vava's. hahaha. Was quite worth it... AUD$26 to eat all you can... =P I'd recommend to someone who's starving for days to go for it=P The highlight of the night was... we've agreed to wear dresses=O Unfortunately, I didn't bring any over to aus... lols. so...... I borrowed one from my JiawenXD Really had loads of fun... Will upload some of the pictures here... But the rest are all in my FACEBOOK albums.
One of them. (Dessert)
The complete 'Family'. lol. After having our fill, we headed back to huiyin's apt. goodness, I'm kinda thankful my dress's kinda baggy... hahaha. Won't show that I'm at least '3 months pregnant' XD At her apt, we took some ermm... supposedly scary photos? XD This' just to 'celebrate' Halloween... hahaha. So there you go...
Scary?=O hahaha. But it sure was fun...I was suppose to go home after that... but it was already kinda late... and hmm... going home alone at such a time and especially, during Halloween's kinda dangerous... so.... the remaining of us stayed over at Helen's place!=D
Sunday
Slept at 3am the previous day... and woke up at 9am for church... haha. when I left, everyone was still asleep=.=' The sermon was pretty good... Was kinda reminded of how important it is to keep the vision in place... After service, we had a unit meetup... So sad... some of the peeps are gonna leave the university group to shift into the young adults groupT_T Gonna miss them... and that includes my shepherd... =( oh well... They're there for a season... so now, God has placed them in the young adults group for a greater purpose.=D
After UDMM, had a mini LGDMM meet to do some update... Joel, our discussion leader's leaving for home until december. So... He's placed Chin in charge of the discussions=D go chin!
Went to ministry house after that to do some studying online and joined Karen, Ellen, Chin, Lionel and Kelly for dinner at chinatown... somehow, i had the sudden craving for noodles in soup=.=" weird me... so I ordered... Roast duck noodles in soup=D tasted not bad la... just that I suspect there's plenty of MSG in it...
Monday
Did some reading up on my maths... and... met up with Huiyin, Erinne, Jayden, Ying and Rhenda for karaoke! wooo! I've waited for this moment for a veeeerrrryyyy long time.... lols. finally get to sing out loud like crazyXD went to KBox along La Trobe st. Interesting eh? even Melbourne has Kbox... the only thing is that I can't use Singapore's membership card. lols. Sang a truck load of songs... including those power songs that can transform your throat into a frog's. hahahaXD It was Ying's bday as well..so we got her a cake=DD and guess what she did to it? smeared us with it=.=" here are some pictures. the rest are in FB.
Before being smacked with cream in the face
After being smacked with it=.=The worse part is the cream went over my whole fringe=.=" so it turned super hard... like putting gel on it... only oily=.= zzz~
After which, all of them went back except for huiyin and I...went to chinatown to have dinner... see! It's more 'normal' to have chinese food in Melbourne than western=.=" lols... It's so readily available... hahaha. After which, went to her apt before going back home. That's about all for today... haha.
Tomorrow I'll have to start chionging my math all the way!!! Off to the library with huiyin!

Went home after that... it's the exams-preparation period... nothing better to do also... haha.. didn't really have the mood to study=.= oh well~
Had dinner at home too... grilled salmon with potatoes and onions... very western=.=" gosh... I've been eating LOADS of potatoes ever since coming here... be prepared to see a potato-ish Shannon when she returns home during the holidaysXD hahaha.
Tomorrow, I'll be commencing the 'intensive notes-making period'... lols... gonna start chionging notes for my Psychology... haven't been doing notes for my Psych lectures ever since the start of semester 2=O but before that, gonna meet up with Huiyin, Erinne and Jayden for half-price korean BBQ!! muhahhahahaha. Korean food here are kind of cheaper than the ones you can find in Singapore... excluding seoul garden of course.. lolsXD

Lol... a lil' blog revival... simply too lazy to get my fingers movin'. haha.
Alright... today, the SALTS(club under uni) went to Royal Children's Hospital to do a performance for them!! Haha... met some very cute kids... I suppose photos of it will start showing up in FB when Fred uploads it^^
As for other days, I'll just post some random pictures. Was kinda bored waiting for the next lecture to start... went around the corner to take some pics...

Here's the super steep and dusty lecture hall. Was having HOI.O.O

Looked like a well...XD

While walking back after that, this HUGE bunch of crazy college guys started running along the road and using eggs to bomb us=.=" Guess it's their way of having fun... zz~ Was quite irritating... My friend's bag was hit directly by the egg... thank God it's not rotten... lols. These guys sure know how to waste money... eggs are expensive!! The weird thing was... I was actually telling my friends that I had a craving for HARD boiled eggs... and then, the incident happened. Too bad, it was raw egg... if not I would have picked it up and eat it...lols.. jkjk=.="
Church's tomorrow! My unit's on duty with the cooking...haha. Wonder what's on the menu... hmm...

Thought I'd just do a quick post before I start on my notes-making. Haha, as always, too lazy to post. Past few weeks, have been busy with school assignments. Had essays due and they are worth like 20-30% of my final year's marks for each subject... Had my Psychology Essay on adolescent risk factors=.=" and HOI on Adam Smith's economic self-interest. THANK GOD!! IT'S DONE!! Now what's left is to pray that all goes well.
Tomorrow, they'll be posting up the essay question for Literature on the 'moodle'-like site. zzz~ At least I don't have too many essays to complete. hahaha. Psychology was a major killer man... reading reports after reports just to find something relevant. Assignments up ahead now just consists of milder ones like my upcoming Chemistry presentation that's worth 10% of overall..ahhh! and upcoming English presentation which doesn't worth anything at all=P Tutor's just trying to prepare us for the real stuff next term.
Holiday's about to arrive!! It starts on the 14th of september since for this term, I don't have any written exams for the subjects I'm taking. Don't know if I should be happy or dazed... It seems like the term just started not long ago o.O and now I'm having holidays again. Time just passes by too fast. It's nearing 'results day' too! Have to start applying to universities already... main goal's still getting into melb uni though...^^ oh well~
Recently, due to the sudden increase of workload as compare to the previous two terms, have been feeling a lil' tired of everything and spiritually dry... But thank God for his providence in everything and that I sustained through all these cause of Him and the people He has put in my life. Thanks to my LG for the constant encouragement and care! haha. during core team meet today, Jonathan shared something about stewardship. What he said kinda applied to myself... serving is not about only serving unto God. but to the people around you. and when you give, do not compare your amount of giving to someone else, rather, it is your heart that God wants to see. You may spend a whole day reaching out to people, but if it's half-hearted, what's the point? Anyway, the take home message for me was "different giving, equal sacrifice". was really meaningful to me.^^

Woohoo~ It sure has been long... just had 2 whole weeks of holidays with my mom and sisters!!! Just when I'm starting to get all comfortable with them, they have to leave for home.=( and just when almost everything I learned from the past semester's pouring out, I have to catch it back again. =.= This'll just make sure I do remember and treasure the good times more even after it's past.
In that 2 whole weeks, it's seriously my first time in my whole stay in Melbourne that I've eaten so much good food=DD Away from HK rice dishes and on to steaks and dim sum buffet! Away from boring Melbourne city that I see everyday and off to the coasts of Victoria such as Great Ocean Road just to see the '12 Apostles' hehe. Away from the busy life of studying in Melbourne and off to Mornington to have a relaxing time in the hot springs. Away from the mundane life of seeing humans after humans when I can go to Philip Island to see a horde of penguins returning home from sea as well as to know that there's always something lazier than me - Koalas. Away from the impossible-to-exercise-due-to-lack-of-time in Melbourne to Mt Buller to have some skiing fun. Does this get any better?
Most of all, an opportunity to spend time with part of my family. That's something I wouldn't trade my time for anything else. Mum baked Lapis cake while she was here=DD And roast pork too.. muhahaha. missed her cooking=(
Really thank God for 2 sisters with different personalities. One's a matured young adult, the other still pretty much resemble a Sotong. Let me provide evidence for that... She accidentally took my coat back to Singapore, leaving me cold and having to resort to wearing many layers just to keep warm during this time of winter, and she took my camera charger by mistake and left hers here=.=" goodness gracious... hope the 'resemblance' doesn't go on for life... lols.
Pictures of my trip is on FB. but if so happen, you surprisingly, do not have an FB account, just access the links before. There are 2 links cause I kinda accidentally made another album with the same album name. lols.
